The successful and innovative products from Biotronik have been extended by the new, technologically outstanding MAGMARIS product range. With the development of a worldwide unique bioresorbable magnesium stent, Biotronik has taken a big step towards the optimised treatment of narrowed coronary vessels. MAGMARIS provides patients with coronary heart disease with a new, very safe option. In contrast to the stents known so far, the MAGMARIS stent dissolves almost completely after about twelve months and the vessel can resume its natural function. The name for this worldwide offered product was developed by innomark and is conceptually based on the material magnesium and the complete bioresorbability after one year, i.e. the water-like dissolution of the inserted stent.

The internationally easily pronounceable brand MAGMARIS communicates the outstanding product features in an immediately visible form and yet is distinctive, independent and unique in terms of branding. In an international development process, the name was extensively tested together with numerous other candidates and has become a clear favourite for the new Biotronik product range.
